Zoho Corporation (founded in 1996) is a specialist in SaaS (software as a service). Its main applications are:

1 / - the customer relationship manager (CRM): or all the tools to process and analyze the data of prospects to build loyalty by offering sales services, marketing with online tools (Zoho writer, Zoho show, Zoho sheet, ...).
2 / - the creation of e-commerce site.
3 / - messaging (Zoho Mail) and software (Zoho Office Suite, and software).
4 / - the management of human resources.
5 / - videoconferencing.

Zoho Mail:

In the address https://www.zoho.com/mail/, click on "Sign up now". A pricing page appears. Choose the price you like then click on "Registration".
You will have two options to configure your mail: either you buy a new domain or you register with the domain you already have.
If you want to buy a domain "zohoworkplace.com" for example, give an available domain name, select a proposed extension. After, click on "Buy a domain".
Click on "Registration", enter the code sent to your mobile by SMS.
To confirm your purchase, click on "Confirm" and enter your method of payment.
Configuration:
- Choose the DNS manager from the DNS hosts that are running.
Enter your username and password (GoDaddy for example). In "My Accounts", then "Domains" then "Manage DNS".
You must copy and paste the code into the "Host" field. Type "zmverify.zoho.com" in "Points to" and then "Save."
Now the CNAME will be added. Go to the CNAME check and click "Check Now".
Create your professional email related to your domain by clicking "Create an account". You can add users or do it later via mailadmin.zoho.com in "admin" mode.
- you must configure your email by adding your MX records.
- connect to your DNS manager (GoDaddy, for example) then in "My accounts" then "Domains" and "Manage DNS".
- click on "Add", choose "MX" in "Type".
- in "Host", put "@", but in "Points To", put "mx.zoho.com" then in "Priority" put "10" and "Save".
- host on "@" an MX record by selecting "mx2.zoho.com" then "Save".
- you can add a record and host it on "@", on "mx3.zoho.com" then "Save".
- delete your old MX records to avoid conflict with Zoho Mail.

SPF recordings for GoDaddy
- Go to the DNS Manager GoDaddy, My Accounts, Domains and then Manage DNS.
- click on "Add" in "Records".
- in "Type", choose "TXT", put "@" in "Host" and in "TXT" put "v = spf1 include: zoho.com ~ all" and at the end, click "Finish".

Add the DKIM signature for the domain:
add a TXT record to the DNS manager of your domain (Godaddy for example).

You have the option to change email from other providers (using IMAP or POP). Click "Migrate" and follow instructions step by step.

Now you can send and receive e-mails with your new account "@ zohoworkplace. *** via Zoho Mail.

 

Adding IMAP / POP Migration:

add your source server or migrate from multiple servers if you prefer to have everything on Zoho Mail.

-Go to https://www.zoho.com/mail

- go to Control Panel, then "Mail Administration" and "Email Migration"

-Choose "Add Migration". Give yourself a title for the migration and choose IMAP or POP as the migration protocol without forgetting the host name of the server, SSL and the port.

-You can set up an account manually or import the information as a CSV file. This can be done by preparing an Excel file with password, destination, header, a priority column. Save the file as CSV.

-Click "Download Accounts in Migration Accounts", click "OK".

Start migration:
In "Control Panel", choose "Migration under Mail Administration". (make sure that the passwords do not change).

Special case of Gmail migration:
the mails are under labels which are considered as folders via IMAP. If you migrate to Zoho Mail, these mails will migrate, depending on the number of labels, into different folders. That is, occupy a storage space equal to N times its size. The problem will arise if your account does not have a required storage space.
Migration tools: Zoho uses two-factor authentication which is considered as additional security of the account (password and telephone).
To enable TFA:
- log on to mailadmin.zoho.com
- switch to "On". In this way, users will choose this mode when connected.

Application-specific passwords (ASP) (if TFA enabled): to configure them:
- go to accounts.zoho.com by entering your details.
- choose "TFA", then "Manage passwords".
- answer the different questions and click "Generate".
- You must save the generated password as it will not be displayed later.

A custom Zoho Mail address (like "mail.zohoworkplace.eu"):
to do it:
- go to "My Accounts" , choose "Domains" and "Manage DNS".
- click "Add" in the DNS page.
- choose the type as "CNAME".
- put "mail" in "Host", then "business.zoho.com" in "Points on" and "Save"!.
